General FAQs
Main Campus: Southview Medical Group, P.C. is located in Office Building 3 on the campus of St. Vincents Hospital. The main office can be reached by telephone at (205) 933-4640.
119 Campus: Southview Medical Group, P.C. is located at 7191 Cahaba Valley Rd.
Parking for Southview Medical Group is located in the Parking Garage attached to Professional Building 3. The Patient entrance is directly off St. Vincents Drive

Procedures FAQs
When scheduled for this test the patient must have no food or drink for 4 hours prior to the test.
Patients having the treadmill GXT must be caffeine free for 12 hours prior to the test.
Patients having the Regadenosine must be caffeine free for 24 hours prior to the test.
The entire test will take 2 ½ to 3 hours.
When scheduled for a CT of the abdomen/pelvis or a “contrast” study, the patient must have no food or drink for 4 hours prior to the test.
When scheduled for an Ultrasound of the abdomen, liver, gallbladder, or aorta, the patient must have no food, or drink after 12:00 am (midnight) prior to the test.
The Lab and X-Ray departments are open from 7:30 am until 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. All patients must sign in at the front desk before services are rendered.
Southview Medical Group P.C. is now releasing all lab results and imaging studies to the patient portal as soon as they are available. It is important to understand that you may see your results prior to your providers opportunity to contact you. We encourage you to allow time for these results to be evaluated by your provider, especially if you are viewing them after hours. Please note that a provider will contact you if there are any concerning results. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.
